Yesterday, I participated in a worldwide photowalk, organized by Scott Kelby. Now if you're not sure what photowalk is, it is pretty self explanatory. A group of people get together at a predetermined location, walk along a semi-determined route, and end up at a predetermined spot - the whole time taking pictures of anything and everything that strikes them. Taylor James, a resident of Monticello, AR hosted the walk in Little Rock, AR. He did a great job of planning, which allowed us to be flexible and free to wander around. Bob Harris, a friend of mine and fellow photographer, rode down with me. A great time was had by all.
It is fun to walk around talking with other photographers and photography enthusiasts. You can encounter just about any level of photographer and camera gear. For instance, I had my dSLR with one lens and a polarizing filter when I needed it. Another guy had a dSLR with a monopod for stabilization, another had the same camera as I with two lenses, while another had just a point-and-shoot. To be honest, I think the guy with the point-and-shoot had as much or more fun than the rest of us. Anyways, here are a few pictures of our small group and few of the pictures I took along the way.
